‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ finishes a 100-day run at the box office

It seems that the minions have regained their domination at the box office, courtesy Universal Pictures' ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru', which has happily completed a 100-day run at the Indian box-office. According to official box office data, the movie has made over $2.48 Million in India and over $924 Million worldwide.

Speaking about the film completing 100 days, Thomas Dsouza (Sr. Vice President - Programming PVR), said, "'Minons: The Rise of Gru' finishing hundred days in the theatre is testimony to the fact that good cinema will lure audiences back to the theatres. For the unversed, ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru' is an untold tale of Gru (portrayed by Steve Carell) and his desire to become the greatest supervillain in the world. The film, which has been set in the 70's, recounts the beginning of the relationship that was shared between Gru and the Minions at the time of their first meet.
