Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is finally talking about her character Harley Quinn from the highly anticipated film, Joker: Folie a Deux. During a recent interview to promote her film, Gaga Chromatica Ball, the actor-singer said that she is portraying Harley Quinn in a completely different way as compared to the comic books.
"You know my version of Harley is mine, and it's very authentic to this movie and these characters. I've never done anything like this before, so it is all going to be completely brand new and really fun," she told a publication.
Directed by Todd Philips, Joker: Folie a Deux stars Joaquin Phoenix, who won the Best Actor Oscar for his performance in the film's first instalment, Joker (2019). The musical, which also features Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, and Zazie Beetz, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 7.

Gaga takes over the role from Margot Robbie, who played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad (2016) and Birds of Prey (2020). About two years ago, Robbie expressed her eagerness to see another actor essay the iconic comic book character on screen.
"It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning, all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way like Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor. It's such an honour to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing. I think she'll do something incredible with it," Robbie had told a news channel in 2022.
Gaga is currently promoting Gaga Chromatica Ball, which showcases the behind-the-scenes events of a concert, down to the details of make-up, stage management, and all the other necessary preparations.
