Jude Law is a good-looking man. No doubt about it. But he's always been more fun to watch when he plays ugly. And his recent filmography suggests that he knows it too

He's been playing characters that are not fluffy or happy. And he's continuing the trend with his next as well.

In Dom Hemingway, Law plays a notorious safe-cracker who's suffered some bumps and bruises along the way. His nose is crooked, his hairline is receding, and when confronted, he clearly leads with his chin - or some other part of his face.

After 12 years in prison, he's back out - loud and brash - expecting some payback from the gangster gents he protected.

But his triumphant return to the glamorous high life is disrupted by several turns, notably his pangs of obligation to his practically orphaned daughter (played by Emilia Clarke).
