The American pop-rock band Imagine Dragons is set to perform at the IPL 2024 final on May 26 in Chennai. Lead singer Dan Reynolds announced the exciting news in a post by Star Sports on X.

The video features IPL highlights and images of Virat Kohli's key moments with Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the promo, Dan says, "This is the stage where we come together. The moment is here. Virat the GOAT, he's the God of all fans." He also added, "Visiting India was the highlight of my entire career."
Imagine Dragons performed at the first-ever Lollapalooza India in 2023. The global music festival took place at Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 28-29, 2023. When performing for the first time in India in 2024, Dan Reynolds greeted the audience with a Namaste and said, "This is the first of many shows." He added, "You people have been nice and kind. Your food is amazing. Thank you for receiving me with such kindness. What a pleasure it has been to be here today."

About the opening ceremony
The IPL 2024 kicked off with a spectacular opening ceremony featuring performances by Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and music legends A.R. Rahman and Sonu Nigam. Kolkata Knight Riders, owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, have already secured a spot in the finals. The match on May 24 will determine who will face KKR for the IPL Season 17 trophy.

On May 27 at 7:00 pm, Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Qualifier 2 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The final match will feature Shah Rukh Khan's KKR against another team yet to secure a spot, causing excitement among fans. With KKR already in the final, fans are eagerly awaiting this last game of the IPL 2024 season.
The Knights and the Risers have faced off 26 times, with KKR leading with 17 wins while SRH has won nine matches. Before the match at Motera, KKR's main concern is the absence of their opening batsman Phil Salt, who has returned to England for national duties.
