The 43-year-old admits that he was highly nervous while working with the screen legend. "It was just the most nerve wracking experience of my life."

O'Donnell earned a Golden Globe nod for best supporting actor, while Pacino went on to win an Oscar - his only Academy win so far. But it was Pacino's advice to O'Donnell on the set back then that has served him well in life.

"He told me don't ever marry an actress. He said you'll always be second in their life."

As it turns out, O'Donnell did not marry an actress. He and his wife, Caroline, have been married for 17 years and have five children.
