Global singing sensation Rihanna arrived in Jamnagar, Gujarat on Thursday to perform at the pre-wedding festivities of billionaire Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Special arrangements were made for the pop queen ahead of her arrival. From a jungle-themed car to large containers being transported to the venue, every need of Rihanna and her team was taken care of.
However, Rihanna's presence on this occasion comes with a whopping price. As per MailOnline, the Grammy-winning singer was paid an exorbitant amount of USD 5 million which comes to around Rs 41.4 crore. It doesn't come as a shocker since Ambani had previously paid USD 6 million to Beyonce to perform at his daughter Isha's wedding in 2018.
Back in 2021, Rihanna made headlines in India for extending her support to farmers protesting on the borders of Delhi against the three agriculture laws introduced by the Central government. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the 32-year-old pop star shared a news story by CNN on the internet shutdown in several districts of Delhi's neighbouring state Haryana after protestors broke barricades to enter New Delhi and clashed with police in several parts of the national capital during the January 26 'tractor rally' protest organised by farmers. The protestors also entered the iconic Mughal Era monument Red Fort and unfurled their flags from its ramparts. "Why aren't we talking about this?!", wrote Rihanna, as she added the hashtag #FarmersProtest along with the post on the micro-blogging site.

Besides Rihanna, American singer and songwriter J Brown and multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and bassist Adam Blackstone also reached Jamnagar.
On Wednesday, the Ambani family organised 'anna seva' to seek the blessings of the local community for the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. After the meal, the attendees enjoyed traditional folk music. Famous Gujarati singer Kirtidan Gadhvi stole the show with his singing.
The pre-wedding functions are expected to be traditional and grand. The guests will get to experience the beauty of Indian culture at the pre-wedding festivities. They will receive traditional scarves made by women artisans from Kachchh and Lalpur in Gujarat.
