After charming his way into the hearts of fans across the globe with his act in Victoria & Abdul (2017), Ali Fazal has been a regular at international events, with the latest one being the recently concluded Hollywood Beauty Awards. The show recognises the best in beauty, hair, make-up and design, in film and TV in Hollywood.

Fazal turned presenter for the fourth edition of the annual gala, held at Los Angeles' Avalon Hollywood yesterday. The actor rubbed shoulders with the likes of Samuel L Jackson and Britney Spears, with whom he presented the New Beauty Award title to winners Kirstin Maldonado, Olivia Holt and Tinashe. "It's nice to feel included in the Hollywood fraternity. I hope to build a long-lasting relationship with everyone here," Fazal told mid-day.

Sharing the stage with Spears was evidently the highlight of the night for Fazal, considering that the pop sensation was his "icon during childhood". "Given that she was receiving the fragrance award for her latest perfume line, I guess I got a whiff of the scent."

Sharing a video of his interaction with Jackson on Instagram, Fazal said he felt "validated" since the veteran praised his act in the Brit drama. "His appreciation of my act is among the best compliments I have received. I told him I hope to meet him on a set the next time, when we can work together." He also presented the Timeless Beauty Award to Jane Seymour.
