We look at a host of Hollywood celebrities who are considered unpleasant people to live next to. Here is a roundup of other ‘annoying’ celebrity neighbours

Madonna

The next time you wish for a celebrity neighbour, think again. It might not be the best thing to happen to you. Last week, Amal and George Clooney were labelled the ‘worst neighbours to have' according to the Berkshire residents in the UK. And they havn't even moved in yet! Reportedly, the noisy renovation work is what has upset the neighbours. "The construction been going on for months and we will be lucky if it finishes before the year is out," said a neighbour. The Clooneys are the latest to join a host of other celebrities who are considered unpleasant people to live next to. Here is a roundup of other ‘annoying' celebrity neighbours:

Madonna
The Material Girl's neighbour, Karen George filed a lawsuit against her in 2009 claiming that the rehearsal studio in the singer's apartment subjected the neighbourhood to ‘blaring music, stomping and shaking walls' for up to three hours a day.

The lawsuit further said that the singer would play music at full blast in one of the three flats she owned in the building and Karen was forced to leave the apartment on numerous occasions. Apparently, Madonna took steps to soundproof her flat, but according to Karen, that didn't work and requests to Madonna to turn her music down failed. The singer, however, settled the lawsuit in 2011 and moved to an even bigger apartment.

James Franco
The adage ‘love thy neighbour' doesn't apply to the actor. If Franco's neighbours are to be believed, he is running a production company out of his home.

They claim that the actor allowed film shoots to take place on the property, causing large white production trucks and clothing racks to block the neighbouring driveways. And, they are apparently treated like ‘eavesdropping sycophants' when they walk out of their house's gate towards the car.

Chris Brown
When the award-winning musician got grimacing, sharp-toothed, red-eyed goblins painted along the curb of his Hollywood Hills home in 2013, not everyone was amused. A neighbourhood group said that the painting scared children and was an eyesore. "There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they're literally frightened.

It's like devils on the wall - big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we're used to," explained Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Association. Acting on the complaints, the city code officials asked the singer to pay $376 as fine for unpermitted and excessive signage. In addition to this, Brown's loud partying, habit of parking in the ‘handicapped-only' spaces and the dog races that he held in the hallway made him an annoying neighbour.

Katy Perry
It seems the singer-actress and her on-and-off boyfriend John Mayer are keeping their neighbours ‘wide awake', just like her song.

Its not because they are collaborating on an album, but because they like noisy sex at night. The neighbours are fed up with their antics and say that the couple "has very loud sex, keeps very late hours and likes to turn up the tunes" which obviously disturbs people living in the houses in the vicinity.

Meryl Streep
She has scored 19 Oscar nominations, looks beautiful and can carry a movie on her shoulders, but is she a good neighbour? People staying close to Strep's house in Connecticut certainly don't think so.

According to one of her neighbours, the actress is mean to everyone around and if that wasn't enough, she further angered the locals when she shut off a road in the middle of town to rebuild a dam in front of her house. It was cordoned off for long and people around were agitated, but she didn't care.

Justin Bieber
When we talk of troublesome next-door celebs, Bieber's name cannot be missed. The singer was named the ‘worst celebrity neighbour of 2014' by a website. First, the 21-year-old singer egged his neighbour, Jeff Schwartz's house in January last year following which, he was not only asked to undergo anger management sessions, but also pay $80,000 in damages. Post the incident, Schwartz sued him for $1 million saying that the incident harmed his reputation.

He claims that the egg incident was a culmination of months of terrorising the Calabasas neighbourhood, with loud parties and drag races. Schwartz alleges that Bieber spat on him on one occasion, something the singer denies. Second, in 2012 the singer made life difficult for star couple, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, who compared living next to Bieber to "living in Lebanon".
