Susan Sarandon
Hollywood veteran Susan Sarandon has revealed she was told to not to get pregnant or even speak about having children when she started her acting career in 1970s. The Oscar-winning actor and mother-of-three said she was told not to talk about having children "because that made you less sexy".
In an interview with The i Paper, Sarandon said, "I was told you were done by the time you're 40 and you definitely shouldn't talk about having children, because that made you less sexy."
Sarandon, 71, said it were her character roles helped her to remain afloat in the movie business for so long. "You have to choose to be beautiful or smart. If you're smart, you're not very feminine. I don't think I was ever the most beautiful, so I got character parts, which allowed me to survive," she said.
