Pop diva Mariah Carey suffered a series of mishaps during her New Year's Eve performance at New York's Times Square.
The 46-year-old took to the stage but technical difficulties marred the event. The singer looked evidently irked as she walked off after having suffered a lip-sync snafu when the vocal track malfunctioned. Maria opened with Auld Lang Syne and went on to perform her 1991 hit, Emotions, when the incident occurred.
She immediately stopped lip-synching, paced the stage and told the audience to finish the lyrics for her. "I'm trying to be a good sport here," she told the crowd.
The star later posted a message on the social media and said, "S''' happens. Have a happy and healthy new year everybody! Here's to making more headlines in 2017."
