The 55-year-old singer will get back behind the camera to direct an adaptation of Walker's novel 'Ade: A Love Story', which is based on author's experience, reported Deadline.
"Madonna to direct interracial romance 'Ade: A Love Story'," Walker tweeted. The 'Music' hitmaker, who made her directorial debut in 2008 with the movie 'Filth and Wisdom', will be working with Bruce Cohen who produced 'Silver Linings Playbook'.
Cohen will produce the movie with his director of development Jessica Leventhal and the author. As the production is still in its early days, Madonna and Cohen are currently looking for a screenwriter to adapt the novel, while CAA finances the indie film.
The novel was released last year. It follows the journey of a college student, Farida, travelling with a female counterpart through Africa.
