Director Jon Favreau has joined the cast of Solo: A Star Wars Story as the voice of an alien. Favreau had shared a photo of himself alongside the Solo director, Ron Howard, and its writer Lawrence Kasdan on Twitter earlier this month.
Howard retweeted the picture and revealed the reason for the three to come together.
"Wondering why we are all together? Jon Favreau is voicing a very cool and important alien character for Han Solo. Flattered and fortunate I could pull him away from his Lion King directing duties," Howard posted.

The director, however, ruled out a similar role for himself.
Asked by a fan if he would voice a character, he replied: "Nope. Zero chance. But thanks for asking (sic)"
Favreau has previously voiced Pre Vizsla in several series of animated spin-off "Star Wars: The Clone Wars".
