London: "Terminator Genisys" was a flop when it was released in summer 2015 and actor Jai Courtney says it is time to leave the franchise "where it is."
Courtney, who is currently appearing in "Suicide Squad", has distanced himself from the "Terminator" series, offering a firm "no" when asked about future movies, reported Digital Spy.
"I've certainly become unattached to the idea of it having to come around again. If it seems like an obvious movie to make then cool. But with Terminator, who knows, it's probably time to leave it where it is," Courtney said.
"But if they can get back in there and dig around and decide there is another film to make, I'll take the call."
Paramount has put an indefinite hold on the franchise, and lead actress Emilia Clarke has ruled out returning as Sarah Connor in future.
