"I have never been to India. I will get to see different cultures and people. I'm sure the trip will be amazing," says Norwegian DJ and record producer Alan Walker, who is part of the esteemed line-up (including Farhan Akhtar, Arijit Singh and Flo-rida) at the Enchanted Valley Carnival (December 17-18).

Walker became an international music sensation last year, after his progressive house track, Faded, went viral. He followed it up with Sing Me To Sleep, which has crossed 11 million views on YouTube since its release in April. Alan admits that as a 19-year-old, he finds it difficult to handle superstardom. "It's extremely hard; my team has done a great job with my social media presence," he says.

Walker is thankful to Faded, which turned things around for him as a musician. "Thanks to the single, I got more focussed on music. I wanted to study after I finished school, but getting the opportunity to work on my music on such a big scale is exciting," he says.

The young musician is oblivious to Bollywood songs. However, he is familiar with a few indie names from the subcontinent. "I heard the Faded version by Lost Stories. It was great," says Walker, who believes that the digital space plays a huge role in offering recognition to newer talent today. "Platforms like YouTube, Spotify and Facebook have helped artistes gain global recognition. Every aspiring musician should showcase his or her music on these platforms," says Walker, who is looking forward to releasing his new single soon.
