The 'Who Gon Stop Me' hitmaker, who recently celebrated his fourth wedding anniversary with Beyonce Knowles, voiced his support for same-sex marriage on May 15 during Budweiser music festival in Philadelphia, reported Us magazine.
"I have always thought of it as something that is still holding the country back. What people do in their own homes is their business, and you can choose to love whoever you love.
That's their business. It is no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination, plain and simple," he said. With this initiative, the 42-year-old Grammy award winner has joined a growing list of celebrities and politicians who are using their fame as a platform for social change.
