Hollywood stars who have encountered troublesome fans

Fans are of all kinds. And not all of them are adorable. Some can prove to be quite troublesome for celebrities. Last week, for instance, Brad Pitt got punched in the face on the red carpet - despite heavy security - by an errant fan at the premiere of Angelina Jolie-starrer Maleficent.

Of course, that was the last thing he was expecting. The man who hit him wasn't expecting a restraining order either. hitlist takes you through some of the high-profile Hollywood stars who were immensely bothered by delusional admirers.

Jennifer Lawrence

She's too cool for even the craziest of fans! J-Law attended the 2012 Comic-Con to promote a film. In fact, she was terrified of fans surrounding her. Nevertheless, she went ahead saying, "I don't think about getting swarmed at Comic-Con, I think about getting killed at Comic-Con."

Jennifer Lopez

Last year, in August, a man broke into JLo's house in Hamptons and remained undetected in the guesthouse for the next six days. Once he was found hiding, the singer-actress had a restraining order issued against him. Interestingly enough, the fan even contacted Jennifer's mother.

Mila Kunis

Mila was confronted by Stuart Dunn at her West Hollywood gym after he tracked her to the location on three consecutive days. Now, following a break-in at her house that led to his arrest by the Los Angeles sheriff, Stuart has been ordered to keep his distance from the Black Swan actor.

Catherine Zeta-Jones

Dawnette Knight stalked and threatened Catherine Zeta-Jones several times between 2003 and 2004 after she claimed she was in love with Zeta-Jones' husband, Michael Douglas. In a letter to Douglas, Knight stated his intentions to "remove" Catherine in the not-so-distant future.

Selena Gomez

Forty-six-year-old Thomas Brodnicki began stalking 19-year-old Selena and he allegedly told his psychiatrist that he was going to kill the singer-actress. Hair-raising as it is, Brodnicki even travelled from Chicago to LA to meet Selena and visited her workplace at least three times.

Jennifer Aniston

In 2010, Jason Peyton travelled cross-country in a delusional attempt to marry Jennifer Aniston. Police found him with a sharp object, duct tape and love notes to the Friends star. Authorities said he was stopped after spending days trying to find Jennifer on Sunset Boulevard.

Halle Berry

Some fans just don't give up. Richard Franco was arrested at Halle's Hollywood home after he allegedly terrorised the actress for days. The man allegedly jumped over the back wall of Berry's house and was eventually arrested on suspicion of felony and stalking.
