Los Angeles: "General Hospital" was named Outstanding Drama Series at the 44th annual Daytime Emmy Awards and on the 20th anniversary of her famous sitcom "Ellen", Ellen DeGeneres's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" won for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment.
The awards ceremony, held on April 30 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, was hosted by Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood.
"The Bold and the Beautiful" star Scott Clifton made Daytime Emmy history by winning Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and became the first actor to have won awards throughout his career in the Younger Actor, Supporting Actor and Lead Actor categories, reports deadline.com.
Steve Harvey, who wasn't in attendance, won two Daytime Emmys, for Outstanding Game Show Host ("Family Feud") and Outstanding Talk Show/Informative Host (Steve Harvey).
"The Dr. Oz Show" won for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative, and "Good Morning America" was named Outstanding Morning Program.
"Jeopardy!" took the prize for Outstanding Game Show. The women of "The Talk" were named Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts, beating, among others, "The View" and "Live with Kelly".
