In a statement, Weinstein's attorney, Ben Brafman, said that Weinstein is weighing legal action against Thurman. "Mr Weinstein acknowledges making an awkward pass at Ms Thurman 25 years ago, which he regrets and immediately apologised for... Why Ms Thurman would wait 25 years to publicly discuss this incident and why according to Weinstein, she would embellish what really happened to include false accusations of attempted physical assault is a mystery to Weinstein and his attorneys."
Thurman's accusations refer to an incident which followed a meeting in Weinstein's Paris hotel room, when Weinstein stripped down to a bathrobe during a discussion about a script. Her accusations come in the light of the growing number of cases of sexual abuse mounting against Weinstein.
