Washington: Fox network has decided to go into live musical business with a three-hour production of the popular musical 'Grease' which will air live in 2015. Shana C.
Waterman, the network's SVP Event Series, said that the 1971 Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs's Broadway musical's iconic characters and songs make it a perfect fit for the network, Deadline.com reported.
It is exciting to have one of the first major network productions be based on this unanimously renowned Paramount title, added Amy Powell, the president of Paramount TV, who will be producing the project.
The live musical will feature the songs 'Summer Nights', 'Greased Lightnin' and 'We Go Together' and John Farrar's 'Hopelessly Devoted To You' and 'You're The One That I Want'.
