Claire Foy, who has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama series, feels 'dead excited' about this year's Emmy awards.

According to The Telegraph, the reason for her excitement is that she will be heading to the Emmys with a host of British stars.

The category of lead actor in a limited series is packed with Britons, with 'The Night Of's Riz Ahmed joined by Benedict Cumberbatch for 'Sherlock: The Lying Detective' and 'Fargo's Ewan McGregor.

Ahead of the ceremony, she told media that she was 'dead excited' for the event, adding, 'It's going to be great.'

'The Crown' star is up for one accolade, as is 'Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown, who at 13 could become the youngest ever Emmy Award winner.

Foy is nominated for lead actress in a drama series for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in 'The Crown', which has been nominated in 13 categories.

Presenter Stephen Colbert will host the 69th Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theatre.
