Seems like Daniel Day-Lewis is not turning his back on Hollywood completely. According to a source, the 60-year-old actor, who previously announced that 'Phantom Thread' will be his final film as an actor, is reportedly planning to step behind the camera and move into producing, reported Page Six.

The insider said, 'He's been taking meetings about producing projects', adding the three-time Oscar winning actor could even be thinking of writing a screenplay. The 'Phantom Thread' star was recently spotted at the offices of indie distributor A24 Films, which worked on 'Lady Bird', 'The Disaster Artist' and 'The Florida Project', fuelling speculation about his production plans, but an insider claimed he was just trying to help out a friend.

The source said, 'He is trying to help a friend get a film financed and produced'. Meanwhile, Day-Lewis has been nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Actor category for his portrayal of Reynolds Woodcock in the movie 'Phantom Thread'. This is his sixth nomination and if he wins it would his fourth Academy Award, after winning the golden statuette for 'My Left Foot: The Story of Christy Brown' (1987), 'There will be Blood' (2007) and 'Lincoln' (2012).
