Both Ocean and Brown were nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album Award. But when Ocean's name was announced as the winner, the audience rose to clap for him. Brown applauded but stayed in his seat as the first-time Grammy Award winner made his way to the stage.

Adele's seat was across the aisle and just metres away from Brown and cameras caught her glaring at him and shaking her head. u00a0Later Adele cornered him and was seen exchanging tense words with him, News.com.au reported.
