Manushi Chhillar grew up idolising Reita Faria, the first Indian and Asian to win the Miss World crown in 1966.

Regarding fashion, Manushi Chhillar said, 'I was interested in fashion since the beginning and I think everyone likes fashion. It's a way of expressing who you are. Even when I was in medical college, I wore a white coat then. That was my fashion statement as a medical student.'

When asked how she relates with typical Indian fashion, Manushi Chhillar replied: 'I think India has a rich history and we always take so much pride in the amount of diversity that we have. When it comes to fashion, the diversity is even more

Manushi Chhillar also said that the being an Indian, the proudest moment of her life was when she learnt how to drape a sari. "Whenever I go to dinner, I try to wear a sari and more of traditional clothes. I am the girl who grew up watching her mother wear a sari therefore, I think the proudest moment of my life was when I learnt how to wear a sari," the Miss World said.

Priyanka Chopra was the last one to win the title for India in 2000, a year after Yukta Mookhey had made India proud. In 1997, Diana Hayden had bagged the title, while Aishwarya Rai had the honours in 1994. Reita Faria was the first Indian to win the crown in 1966.

Manushi Chhillar has been associated with the 'Project Shakti' campaign, initiated by her to make women and girls more aware about menstrual hygiene, even before she ventured into the beauty pageants scene.

Manushi Chhillar who is very committed to her fitness routine, makes sure she works out at least four or five times in a week. Talking about Manushi Chhillar's diet plans, her nutritionist Nmami Agarwal said, 'Manushi is a vegetarian and had many travel commitments so there was no fixed plan and a new diet plan was made every day as per her schedule and local food available at the place where she is travelling.'

Nmami Agarwal added, 'The basics remain the same - six meals a day - Smoothies and nuts for breakfast, fruits, yogurt and coconut water for Mid-meal, veggies with broke wheat for lunch, hummus with carrot or cucumber sticks for evening and lentil or mushroom soup with wholegrain toast for dinner.'

Miss World Manushi Chhillar worked with actor Ranveer Singh for a television commercial. Manushi Chhillar said, 'It was a very different experience for me to shoot for this commercial. I had the opportunity to work with the one and only Ranveer Singh. It was a great experience for me because his energy and whole aura is so infectious that just keeps you going. In the commercial I got to try new things and we had goofy dance steps so it was lots of fun,' the reigning beauty queen said.'

Manushi Chhillar once said if she gets an opportunity to work in the film industry, she would love to do a project in the action space. 'I would like to do an action movie, and in which I am doing the action. I don't want to be a damsel in distress. I want to be a superhero. I would love to do that,' Manushi said when she was present at a Radio station to celebrate woman power.

Manushi Chhillar is an adventurous girl who loves paragliding, horse riding, scuba diving, bungee jumping, and snorkelling.

Manushi Chhillar believes that change, and not success, is everything.'I think change is everything, something common in all entrepreneurs. We not only love what we do but we want change that is why we do it,' she said at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).'

How is she spending her life after becoming a beauty queen? 'It has been going pretty well. I have been to all continents of the world. I have travelled a lot and I met lot of people and it has been a roller-coaster ride for me, Manushi said.'

Manushi Chhillar fans can rejoice, as the lovely model-beauty queen will soon be making her Bollywood debut with Prithviraj, co-starring Akshay Kumar. Manushi will portray the role of Princess Sanyogita, and this silhouette is a glimpse of her first look from the film. The film is based on Rajput warrior Prithviraj Chauhan's life, and the titular character will be played by Akshay Kumar.
