Bipasha Basu was enrolled in medical science studies until 12th standard, but switched to commerce stream thereafter and completed graduation.

Bipasha Basu started out her career in Bollywood after she was spotted at a nightclub by former model and Miss India Mehr Jessia.

Late actor Vinod Khanna, wanted to launch her alongside his son Akshaye Khanna in Himalay Putra, but she felt she was too young and declined the role, which eventually went to Anjala Zaveri.

She was later signed to star opposite Abhishek Bachchan in J. P. Dutta's Aakhari Mughal. But, the film was cancelled, and Dutta instead changed the script and made Refugee with Kareena Kapoor.

In 2001, Bipasha Basu finally made her debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Vijay Galani's Ajnabee. And the rest is history!

Bipasha Basu has featured in films like Jism, No Entry, Phir Hera Pheri, All the Best: Fun Begins, Dhoom 2, Race, Raaz 3D, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Aatma, Creature 3D. Her last film was Alone, which released in 2015.
