Ira Khan, Aamir Khan's daughter from his first wife Reena Dutta, was born on May 8, 1998. The 22-year old girl has an older brother Junaid and has a huge presence on social media, in particular on Instagram. Like brother Junaid, Ira might also pursue a career in Bollywood, but at a later stage. Ira has not yet made her Bollywood debut, and neither of her parents has revealed any details about her career plans in the world of showbiz. The star daughter was holidaying with pals in Europe when she took a fancy to the Netherlands and decided to pursue her academics there.

A while ago, a source told mid-day, "Ira is Aamir's only daughter and obviously, he was concerned when she told him about going to Europe with her friends. Initially hesitant, he eventually agreed because he knows that she is an adult now."

Another source revealed that while Aamir is extremely close to all his children, he has a special bond with Ira. Ira, herself, revealed in a Father's Day Instagram post that Aamir Khan is 'ridiculously protective' of her. She wrote, "From being ridiculously over-protective to telling me I should be more rebellious... you've been an amazing person to have in my life. You're always there when I need you. People always ask what it's like to be brought up by and around you, some think it would be really cool or exciting... but that would be an understatement..."

Ira continued, "Thanks for being such an educational, stimulating and inspirational figure in my life. I'm passive aggressive too so I may not tell you how cool I think you are but I definitely think it. And thanks for the great-skin-gene!"

Ira's brother Junaid is more interested in theatre, as per papa Aamir. He has worked as an assistant director on Rajkumar Hirani's PK, which featured Aamir Khan in the lead. "He should lead his own life and take his own decisions. He certainly has an inclination toward the creative world and filmmaking. He is following his path, he has studied theatre. He is actually more interested in theatre than films," said Aamir Khan in an interview. Junaid will soon make his acting debut with a big banner film 'Maharaja'.

Well, Ira Khan too entered the showbiz in 2019. She made her directorial debut with a theatre production titled Euripides' Medea. The play is an adaptation of Euripides' Greek tragedy Medea and stars Aamir's son Junaid Khan and actress Hazel Keech among others. Talking about her directorial debut, Ira said in a media interaction: "There wasn't any particular reason why I picked theatre first and not a movie. I want to do both of them in my life. I just happen to be working backstage and I saw the stage and I thought let's do this."

Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan is as creative as her father. Ira was inclined towards music since childhood and was planning to join musician Ram Sampath as an assistant.

Ira Khan has a friendly, warm, fun-loving personality. Her pictures speak oodles about her love for animals and her great equation with her friends.

The Khan daughter also likes traveling. Ira has a bunch of pictures with her friends at beaches, which makes us believe she is a water baby.

One look at the pictures and you know she is Bollywood ready. Will Mr Perfectionist papa launch her or prefer that she embarks on her own path?
