Amitabh can be seen waving to and folding his hands respectfully to the throng of devoted fans. This tradition has been a long-standing one, and Amitabh often takes to his Twitter handle to post on the Sundays that he cannot come outside to greet his admirers

He can be seen wearing a rather funky patterned black jacket with a golden zig-zagged strip in the middle and a colourful abstract floral pattern. His head was also covered. Amitabh remains young at heart!

A fan had held up banner which contained retro pictures of Amitabh from different movies. It was captioned, ‘Apne aap mein hi ek duniya hai, Amitabh Bachchan’ – ‘Amitabh Bachchan is a whole world in himself’

Amitabh could be seen interacting with the people standing closer to him, perhaps answering their questions, or asking about them in turn. No wonder the star has been beloved in the industry and by audiences for decades

Last year, the actor had posted on his blog that he had observed the lessening of crowds and enthusiasm, an indication that “time has moved on and nothing lasts forever.” However, given that many still brave the Mumbai rains to travel to Jalsa, one can wager that Amitabh remains a timeless icon
