From 'Tarla' to 'Double XL', Huma Qureshi has one of the most interesting line-up of projects

Actor Huma Qureshi turns a year older today.  Having started her year with interesting projects like 'Valimai' opposite Ajith, 'Mithya', and a special song in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', the actress has some more interesting projecting in the pipeline. 'Tarla'

The Gujarati home chef, who is credited with inspiring mothers to pack a Mexican wrap in their child’s lunch dabba and serve white sauce pasta and burritos at birthday parties, is soon to get a biopic that traces her incredible journey. Backed by director-producer couple Nitesh and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, helmed by Piyush Gupta, the film sees Huma Qureshi slip into the role of Dalal, endearing buck teeth and jet black bob in place.  

'Monica O My Darling'

Huma will be a part of this Netflix film which went on floors last year. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film also stars Rajkummar Rao, and Radhika Apte apart from Huma

'Maharani Season 2'

The teaser of season 2 of 'Maharani' was unveiled a week ago. Huma returns as Rani Bharti for the new season. In the teaser, she is seen in battle with her husband and predecessor Bheema Bharti (Sohum Shah). The show will be released later this year

'Pooja Meri Jaan'

The film was announced this week. Boasting of a stellar star cast that features Huma Qureshi, Mrunal Thakur, Vikram Singh Chauhan, and Vijay Raaz the film has now wrapped its shoot. The film has been directed by Navjot Gulati, co-directed by Vipasha Arvind, and written by Kanishka & Navjot Gulati

'Double XL'

The film will see Huma and Sonakshi Sinha tackle the subject of fat shaming. The film that also stars Zaheer Iqbal was announced a couple of months ago and is one of the most interesting projects in Huma's line-up
