Janhvi Kapoor and her mother, the late Sridevi, have left a mark on the Indian film industry, each contributing their unique talents and charm.

Sridevi, often regarded as one of India's finest actresses, captivated audiences for decades with her versatility and screen presence.

Her iconic roles in films like Chandni, Mr. India, and English Vinglish solidified her as a true Bollywood legend.

Sridevi, often referred to as the 'First Female Superstar' of Indian cinema, was a trailblazer whose impact on the film industry remains unparalleled.

Born in 1963 in Tamil Nadu, India, she began her acting career at a very young age and quickly rose to prominence with her remarkable talent and beauty.

Her journey in the film industry started as a child artist, and she transitioned seamlessly into lead roles as she grew older.

Her expressive eyes, graceful dance moves, and impeccable comic timing made her a favorite among audiences of all ages.

Janhvi Kapoor, the eldest daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, carries forward her mother's legacy with grace and determination.

Making her debut with the film Dhadak, Janhvi exhibited shades of her mother's charisma and acting finesse.

She channels her mother's spirit, imbibing the same commitment that made Sridevi an enduring icon.

Her entry into the film world was met with anticipation, and she has proven her mettle with roles that highlight her potential.

While Janhvi possesses her own unique style, glimpses of Sridevi's influence are evident in her performances, gestures, and even her smile.

Beyond the glitz and glamour, Janhvi and Sridevi's connection offers a poignant narrative of generational talent and a mother's enduring influence.

Janhvi often speaks about the lessons she learned from her mother, both on-screen and off-screen.

In an emotional instance during the second episode of 'Koffee with Karan 7', Janhvi Kapoor revealed, "I'd like to think that I have retained and preserved whatever she has instilled in me, but it almost hurts to remember the person that I was because it was different."

During another conversation with Barkha Dutt, she recalled Sridevi affectionately calling her 'Laddoo'

She discussed the profound emptiness she felt in her heart after Sridevi's passing. "When I lost mom, of course, there was this huge tragedy; there was a hole in my heart. But there was this horrible feeling of ‘something bad has happened’ to justify all the great things in my life and all the privileges and things that I got easily, which I heard my entire life.

She continued, "and  I thought, ‘Ok, now something bad has happened. I deserve this. I deserve this horrible thing that has happened to me. It was a weird sense of relief,"

As Janhvi takes on diverse roles and challenges, she pays tribute to her mother's pioneering spirit.

The legacy continues as Janhvi Kapoor navigates the evolving landscape of Indian cinema, forging her own path while honoring her mother's remarkable legacy.
