Cafe Del-Mar in Turkey was renamed Salman Khan Cafe in 2012. While shooting for 'Ek Tha Tiger' in Mardin, Salman along with the rest of the crew would often visit the place since it was close to the shooting location. Apparently, the actor suggested a lot of changes in the cafe, and the makers ended up liking his ideas.

In 2005, a breed of tulips in the Netherlands was named 'Aishwarya Rai.' Not only this, a college for underprivileged girls, which was being set up in Daulatpur village in Uttar Pradesh in 2012, was also named as 'The Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Girls College'.

Legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor has a street named after him in the city of Brampton, Canada. The street is called the 'Raj Kapoor Crescent'.

Very few know that it was veteran actor Manoj Kumar's movie Shirdi Ke Sai Baba (1977) that actually changed the image of Shirdi and made it what it is today by spreading its name all across the world. In 2006, the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi honoured Manoj Kumar by renaming the 'Pimpalwadi Road' in Shirdi as 'Manojkumar Goswami Road'. This kilometre-long Pimpalwadi road is the only road that leads to the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple.

During her heydays, actress Zeenat Aman had a perfume named after her. The perfume made by a French company wanted a product reminiscent of India.

A restaurant, Noor Mohammadi Hotel, in Mumbai, serves a dish named 'Sanju Baba Chicken', named after Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay Dutt is a patron of this eatery (also famous for its nalli nihari, which is the actor's favourite dish there) since 1986, and the actor first shared his special chicken recipe with restaurant owner Khalid Hakimi and his chefs in 2010.

On his 31st birthday, Shahid Kapoor's fans named a star located in the Orion constellation after the actor.

A popular Italian joint in Delhi introduced a pizza named Size Zero pizza inspired by Kareena Kapoor.

On the occasion of Kishore Kumar's 82nd birth anniversary in 2011, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) set up a park near the Tollygunge tram depot and named it after the versatile singer. The park is also utilised as a resting place for technicians and junior artists.

In 2011, a social organisation in Dharamsala demanded the renaming of the Government PG College after legendary Bollywood actor Dev Anand, who had studied there in 1938-39.

The Ravindra Jain Music Academy, which was constructed in Bhopal, had a section of the building named after late wrestler-actor Dara Singh in 2012. He had donated Rs 10 lakh to the academy in 2008 when he was an MP.
