The couple plans to have a beach wedding in Goa, and their wedding invitation is circulating on the internet.
Initially planning to marry in the Middle East, they changed their venue after Prime Minister Modi suggested choosing India for their wedding and vacation.
According to ABP News, Jackky Bhagnani publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram during Rakul's 31st birthday on October 10, 2021.
Rakul had mentioned in an interview that they became closer during the lockdown.
She told Bollywood Bubble, “I think it was very organic. We started hanging out together and then a couple of months down the line, like 2-3 months, 4 months we were just hanging out and without any facade of who we are”
She added, "And the coincidence was we were almost neighbours and we didn't even know. We were not even friends for so many years. Till the lockdown happened and then we started hanging with our friends and it just very organically grew into comfort,"
She told Cosmopolitan India, "It's never one mantra but something that, I think, is extremely important is being complete in yourself first to be able to complete someone else. And that's something that both Jackky Bhagnani] and I have spoken about."
She even once said, "Even before we started dating, we spoke about it — the understanding that you know of your shortcomings and work on your relationship with absolutely no insecurities."
"If one of the partners is insecure, the relationship cannot be healthy. And it boils down to being complete in yourself as a person to be able to be more giving in a relationship," Rakul Preet Singh said.
