For the unversed, Priya Varrier hails from Poonkunnam city from Kerala. A B.com student a ' girls-only' Vimla College, confessed how shooting for Oru Adaar Love was a different experience during her teens.

Priya Varrier auditioned for a short role in the film Oru Adaar Love. It so happened that the director - Omar Ikka - saw the rushes of the schoolboy she winks at, Roshan Abdul Rahoof, and he felt they were cute together.

An impressed Omar then asked Roshan to do the eyebrow act and also asked Priya if she could do it as well. That' s how they shot the viral sequence, which wasn' t even planned. Spontaneous scenes sometimes work magic and this was the best example.

Talking about the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi, where the eye-winking sequence got famous, it' s a Mappila paattu, a song sung by Muslims of the Malabar region during religious or other occasions. Manikya Malaraya Poovi song is about the love story of the Prophet Muhammad and his wife, Khadeeja.

Priya is also a trained Mohiniyattam dancer, perhaps that helped her give beautiful expressions. Before foraying into the film industry, Priya Varrier had walked the ramp for several events and fashion shows also.

Priya Prakash Varrier will soon make her Bollywood debut with Sridevi Bungalow. The film generated controversy a while back when producer Boney Kapoor, husband of late superstar Sridevi, sent a legal notice to the makers of the film, objecting to the film' s title as well as a scene that reportedly shows a character named Sridevi' s death in a bathtub, much the same way the eighties actress Sridevi died in February 2018.
