What is your fitness regime?
My fitness regime remains the same no matter what the occasion is. I usually sleep at around 11 pm and get up at 5am before the sun rises. As soon as I get up I drink warm water, do pranayam and then start my work out. On an average I work out for around 2 to 3 hours every morning.

I consume simple food in the afternoon. I am  vegetarian so I eat normal veg food. What I intend to say is that in order to achieve something you dont need to make drastic changes. Small changes lead to bigger results in life. People keep asking me this and that is why I have launched my new app where I share my fitness goals. I want to let people know how they can do it too.

Tips for people who find it tough to workout outdoors during the rains?
Usually during the rainy season many prefer to workout at their homes. I would like to tell them to first always start off with warming up the body from head to toe. Other than that one can run at one place, other than this you can do sukshma vyayam, pranayam, dips and sit ups.

One can even do a handstand with a wall support. So if someone says that working out in the rain is not possible then it is just an excuse.

What diet do you follow and what would you recommend to fans?
There is an old saying that our mind is what we eat, jaise peyengey paani waise niklegi baani. If you go to a gym and if your body weight is 60kgs they usually tell you to have 120 gms of protein and then they also give you advice on your diet and more. If we follow this then how will we work, we will have to keep eating the whole day.

I always believe that the more you work and the less you eat is the best health tip that I can give. I eat very simple food, like this morning for breakfast I had an apple or some other fruit, for lunch I eat dal, sabzi made in desi ghee with 3 rotis, I also add some salad to it and some buttermilk or curd. After this i directly have dinner. I usually dont have anything in between. For dinner I eat khichdi or daliya or sometimes I have a glass of milk and sleep. As per our weather, water ghee and milk is supposed to be very good.  Happiness is the key to having the best possible diet.

How has your approach towards fitness changed over the years?
I feel the parameters for fitness change everyday. We often learn from each other. If I see someone doing something nice, I try to implement it in my workout schedule. But the thing is that if workout is followed every day then it will really make a difference in your life. I remember that I used to play under the weight category of 120 kgs and then I represented India under the 96kgs weight category.

Then in professional bouts I played under the 84 kgs category and today my weight is 82kgs. So over the period working out, and following a certain routine and changing your workout  for eg one day I do Surya Namaskar and then I do cardio. I do 1000 sit ups everyday in around 8 to 10 minutes, I do 1000 crunches and so on.

I can tell you all at least 10 to 15 various workouts that one can do from your office on your chair.  I do a blend of modern workouts and age old work outs and that keeps me very healthy and energetic. I dont get tired, in fact my body age is 14 years.

Are you open to acting offers?
Yes of course! I have done a lot of reality shows, I have also hosted a few shows. I am trying to do some good projects. I am very open to trying out various options.

If there is a good project then I will definitely take it up, if I feel I can do justice to the projects and viewers enjoy seeing me in it. So yes I am open for acting offers.

Future Plans?
I feel we can only think about the future but the planning is done by the almighty. His plans are sometimes much better than our plans.

My future plan is to do things that I like the most. It can be wrestling or acting or anything for that matter. I also have plans of coming up with a nice talk show in the future and host it on various platforms.

I am planning to make a big announcement very soon. I also would like to inspire the youth and that is why I have launched my own app called Sangram Singh Official App so that I can interact with the youth at a personal level.
