Love affairs of Bollywood stars that went sour

Sana Khaan and Melvin Louis: The couple had been in a relationship for almost a year, before calling it quits. The two, who were open about their relationship, often shared loved-up pictures on their respective social media handles. However, Sana claimed that Melvin cheated on her and that led her to call it off. She apparently also informed her friends that Melvin was abusive towards her.

Vicky Kaushal and Harleen Sethi: The two had been guarded about their relationship till Vicky dropped hints on Karan Johar's chat show and Neha Dhupia's podcast that there was someone special in his life. Harleen, who was seen in the web series, Broken But Beautiful, had shared a photograph with Vicky on social media in January, after the success of his film Uri: The Surgical Strike. However, in April 2019, rumours flew thick and fast that all is not well between Vicky Kaushal and Harleen Sethi due to the former's growing proximity to another female actor. It is said that as soon as Harleen got wind of it, all hell broke loose and she immediately unfollowed Vicky's account on Instagram.

Kim Sharma and Harshvardhan Rane: After dating for almost two years, Kim Sharma and Harshvardhan Rane called it quits in April 2019. If gossip mongers are to be believed, the two had a massive fight in March, and ever since, they stopped talking to each other. While Kim Sharma has not pulled out any photos of Harshvardhan from her social media account, Harshvardhan has posted a cryptic message, hinting at their breakup, which read: "K Thank you gentle soul! It was amazing and much more. God bless you and God bless me too. Bye. H"

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor: After being viewed as the ideal couple for a decent period of time, things went sour during the filming of Jab We Met. There were rumours that Shahid was having a fling with another co-star at a time, while Bebo was seeing Saif. And their relationship lost fizz.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone: For a while, Ranbir and Deepika were seen as the perfect couple. But, it was too good to last. While Deepika did not directly accuse Ranbir of being disloyal to her, she has often mentioned in interviews that an 'ex-boyfriend' cheated on her. However, unlike other couples, these two are good friends now.

Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma: Their off-screen chemistry was as good as their on-screen one during the 'Band Baaja Baaraat' days. Sadly, it fizzled out rather swiftly. So much so that at an awards nomination event, Anushka went out of the way to avoid Ranveer.

Siddharth Mallya and Deepika Padukone: During their time together, they were extremely comfortable in each other's company. In fact, they were even spotted getting a bit too cosy during IPL games. However, the couple split inexplicably. Later, the grapevine was that Mallya was busy wooing Sonam Kapoor, which led to Deepika giving him the boot.

Bipasha Basu and Rana Daggubati: Just when reports of their alleged relationship were gaining steam they were spotted getting cosy a couple of times news came that Rana was spending time with old sweetheart Trisha in Goa during the Sunburn Festival in late 2011. Bipasha, who was supposed to attend the fest, apparently backed out at the last minute, which set the tongues wagging.

Saif Ali Khan and Rosa Catalano: After walking out of his 13-year marriage with Amrita Singh, the suave Saif found love in the arms of the Italian model. The relationship did not last beyond three years, with Rosa dropping mild accusations of Saif cheating on her, by not informing her of the fact that he was a divorcee with two children when they began dating.

Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty: This was among the most tumultuous of all B-Town splits. After having broken up with Raveena Tandon, Akki fell for Shilpa but eventually ended up marrying Twinkle Khanna. Many years back, Shilpa openly accused Khiladi' Kumar of using and two-timing her.

Riya Sen and Ashmit Patel: The unsuccessful actors were going strong when their infamous MMS clip began doing the rounds. The couple split immediately after. Who's to be blamed?

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu: Bipasha Basu has been very vocal and suggestive about John Abraham's alleged cheating ways even as the latter has maintained a dignified silence on the matter. From infidelity to John's lack of commitment, many reasons were speculated to be the cause of their split.

Dilip Kumar and Madhubala: The much-loved on-screen pair were romantically linked off-screen as well for nearly five years. However, Madhubala's torn state between her love and her father Ataullah Khan led her to part ways with Kumar. A court case pertaining to 'Naya Daur', in which Kumar testified for B.R. Chopra against Madhubala, spelt the death knell in their relationship.

Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman: After Raaz The Mystery Continues, Kangana's already successful career got a big shot in the arm while the film did little to improve Adhyayan's prospects. Call it male ego or anything else, Adhyayan distanced himself from Kangana soon after. There were also rumours that Adhyayan's dad Shekhar Suman forced him away from the actress.

Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasti: The two were madly in love with each other, so much so that they were living in for over a year. One fine day though Rakhi threw Abhishek out of the apartment where they were staying together, alleging he rubbed her the wrong way many times, and had crossed the limit.

Mahima Chaudhry and Leander Paes: After being in a steady relationship, Mahima walked out, openly accusing the tennis star of cheating on her with Rhea Pillai. Paes went on to marry Pillai, and the couple even have a daughter.

Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai: After a three-year relationship, Ash and VO parted ways in 2005. Ash's continued refusal to acknowledge their relationship publicly hurt Vivek deeply. She had also started seeing Abhishek Bachchan, which was apparently one of the reasons for the split.

Dev Anand and Suraiya: Co-stars in a few films, the duo was very much in love with each other. However, Suraiya's maternal grandmother opposed the relationship as both were from different religions. The fact that Suraiya did not muster the courage to oppose her grandmother led Anand to move away from her.

Lara Dutta and Kelly Dorjee: The duo dated for over eight years, but once Lara began tasting success and Kelly didn't, rumours began doing the rounds that the latter was getting insecure. Too many link-up stories pertaining to Lara and her co-stars also began becoming a point of debate. After a while, both had enough.

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai: They fell in love while shooting for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. However, rumours about Salman's tempestuous nature began doing the rounds soon. Numerous stories about their physical fights made it to the press much too frequently, ultimately leading to a break-up.

Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja: They were more than comfortable in each other's company during the Love Story 2050 days, but as soon as the film became a box office disaster, Priyanka distanced herself from Harman even going to the extent of stating that they were never seeing each other. However, all's well between the two now. Harman even attended PeeCee's wedding.

Randeep Hooda and Neetu Chandra: The couple had been in a relationship for nearly three years. However, they parted ways. Gossip mongers stated that, with Randeep getting quality work in recent years, he was not been able to give enough time to Chandra, which caused the rift.

Upen Patel and Shamita Singha: Their love life had been on the rocky road from the beginning. They had a huge public fight once, and split, only to reconcile later. However, history repeated itself again, and Shamita walked out for good since the affair was going nowhere.
