Jacqueline Fernandez sets up foundation to help amid Covid-19 crisis

Jacqueline Fernandez has set up a foundation to create and share stories of kindness. Taking that in her own stride her You Only Live Once (YOLO) Foundation is also working with several NGOs to cater to different causes. The actress recently visited the kitchen of Roti Bank Foundation to work with them closely. With the Roti Bank team and her YOLO team, she worked through the cooking process and also served meals to the needy.

On her social media, Jacqueline Fernandez shared, "Mother Teresa once said, "Peace begins when the hungry are fed. I was truly humbled and inspired to visit Mumbai @rotibankfdn today, which is run by former Mumbai police commissioner Mr. D Sivanandan. Roti Bank has prepared and distributed meals to millions of hungry people till date, even during the pandemic. They are the perfect example of what #kindnessbrigade aspires to do and I am honored to be of help to them during these times. We only live once! Let's make this life worth it by helping others in need and sharing the #storiesofkindness of those around us!"

On Thursday, Jacqueline Fernandez shared pictures from her visit at NGO on her Instagram account. This is what she wrote as her caption- "My team and I at the Yolo Foundation visited @thefelinefoundation and it opened our eyes to the plethora of issues faced by the people trying to help street cats and strays. The most notable being stigma around sterilisation."

Jacqueline Fernandez added, "Even with all these problems, it was heartwarming to witness the dedication with which the volunteers and the doctors continues with their work. They have treated so many animals till date and have created a safe home for them. They are what one can truly call a #kindnessbrigade. It fills me with joy to share their #storiesofkindness with the world."

Ever since the announcement of the initiative, Jacqueline Fernandez has been on her toes. With the YOLO foundation, the actress has visited the Roti Bank foundation, she is distributing masks and sanitisers to the Mumbai Police Force and has now been feeding the stray animals.
