Sam Bahadur will be facing a tough competition at the box office as it clashes with Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal on December 1. While Vicky's film looks promising, the business of the film may be heavily impacted with th buzz around Animal
Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed Animal is expected to rake in Rs 30 crore on day 1 as advance collections look promising. Amid this, Vicky Kaushal, who plays the titular role in Sam Bahadur is leaving no stone unturned to promote his film
The actor has been meeting fans in different cities and interacting with them whilst promoting the film. Vicky's josh at all these events is one that has stood out
Sam Bahadur is based on the life of India's first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. His career in the army spanned over four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and he led the victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh

Talking about the film, Vicky earlier said, "I am fortunate to portray the role of a real-life hero and patriot who is still remembered and loved for his contributions to our country. There is a lot to learn and take back as an actor. With the amount of prep and hard work the whole team has put in, I am sure the audiences will be thrilled to watch Sam's mesmerising journey to making India what it is today."

Vicky talked about his preparation for the role of Sam Bahadur. "When I was approached to become Sam Bahadur and when Meghna met me, she had come so thoroughly prepared that how Sam Bahadur looked, how he walked and how he was by nature, she had done a lot of work in the research. A look test was done and I met his family. Because to become Sam Bahadur, we had to play 20-year-old Sam Bahadur to 60-year-old Sam Bahadur while he was in the army because our film is till that point"
Vicky also visited the Raj Mandir theatre in Jaipur amid promotions and posed alongside a live size cutout of himself as Sam Bahadur
"Promise made is a promise kept.” It’s always special to get the love and blessings from the people of Jaipur… especially at Raj Mandir Cinema, one of the biggest single screen theatres in India. Last time when I was here during #ZHZB promotions, I had promised that I’ll bring SAM here as well. So blessed to feel the love from you all again. Dil se shukriya! Can’t wait for you all to come to theatres on 1st Dec to experience the story of #sambahadur with us," he wrote
