Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of Rocky in Karan Johar's upcoming directorial 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. In the first look poster unveiled by the makers, Rocky is seen as a flamboyant man wearing bling clothes and baring his clean shaven chest

Describing Ranveer Singh's character Rocky, the makers wrote, "Yaaron ka yaar, rocking in every avatar, aur iss ‘prem kahaani' ka dildaar - meet Rocky!"

Minutes after introducing Rocky, they introduced his lady love, Rani. Alia Bhatt plays the gorgeous Rani in this love story. With hair flying, Alia looked gorgeous in a bling saree in the first look poster of her character

"Dilon ko dhadkaane aa rahi hai woh - the ‘Rani’ of this 'prem kahaani," wrote the makers introducing Rani

The makers also shared couple posters of Rocky and Rani giving a glimpse into their chemistry. This is the second time that Ranveer and Alia will be seen sharing screen space. They had earlier featured opposite each other in the film 'Gully Boy' that was released in 2019

The film, billed as a family drama, Johar's returns to direction after 2016's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. He made his directorial debut in 1998 with 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji

Karan Johar is known for his love stories. Right from 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' to 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', the filmmaker has delivered some of the biggest romantics films of Bollywood

'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani' will hit the theatres on July 28. The film also stars Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan
