As Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ gears up for its release on Netflix, here’s a look at all its characters and their relationships. 

Manisha Koirala will be seen as Mallikajaan, queen of Shahi Mahal. She governs over an aristocratic courtesan house. 

Sonakshi Sinha plays Fareedan, the daughter of Manisha's late nemesis, who raises problems in the household.

Fardeen Khan will be seen essaying the role of Wali Mohammed. His character is caught in a whirlwind struggle of love and duty and attempts to reconcile his heart's desire with his royal responsibilities.

Aditi Rao Hydari plays Bibbojaan, daughter of Manisha Koirala, who joins the struggle for freedom alongside revolutionaries seeking India's independence from British domination.

Shekhar Suman breathes life into the character of Zulfikar Ahmed, a man of authority, whose mere presence exudes power and sophistication.

Sharmin Segal plays Manisha's youngest daughter Alamzeb, who fantasises about falling in love with the son of a nobleman and wishes to escape Heeramandi.

Taha Shah Badussha plays Tajdar, the son of a nobleman opposite Sharmin. Torn between tradition and love, he seeks purpose through liberation. 

Richa Chadha plays Lajjo, whose resilience echoes in the halls of Shahi Mahal. In an interview, Richa revealed that her character has an addiction problem. 

Sanjeeda Shaikh stars as Waheeda, who is betrayed and silenced by fate and seeks to find redemption beyond beauty. She is also a courtesan with a scar on her face. 

Adhyayan Suman portrays Zorawar Ali Khan, an arrogant nawab of considerable wealth whose pursuits are driven solely by his self-interest.
