Meghna Naidu, popularly known for her appearance in the music video 'Kaliyon Ka Chaman' was born on September 19, 1980, in Andhra Pradesh. Meghna Naidu's father Ethiraj worked for Air India and was a tennis coach as well, while her mother Purnima was a school teacher. She has one younger sister, Sona. Meghna Naidu grew up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She graduated with a B.Com degree from Bhavan's College, Andheri, Mumbai.

Before pioneering the item-girl trend in music videos with Kaliyon ka Chaman, Meghna Naidu had done a few films down south. In fact, Kaliyon Ka Chaman happened by fluke.

Meghna, who is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer, had accompanied her friend for a screen test for a music video. While her friend was shooting, the people at Universal Pictures approached Naidu too for the music video. Naidu, who was then shooting for South films then, dropped her photos at the studio and they called her within 10 days. Upon doing a screen test, Kaliyon Ka Chaman landed in her kitty.

Meghna Naidu made her sensational debut with the 2004 Bollywood film Hawas. Naidu featured in various B-grade films, however, her Bollywood career never took off. Though, she did several films in the South and gained decent fame.

Apart from Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies, Meghna had also tried her luck in Bengali films as well. She has worked in television shows such as Adaalat and Sasural Simar Ka too.

Meghna had also participated in the first season of the show Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Meghna was last seen in the 2016 film Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3. In 2018, the actress, who has always been seen doing bold characters on-screen, announced that she will play a sex worker in 'Sitara', a Bengali film.

Talking about her role in Sitara, Meghna Naidu was quoted by IANS: 'I am playing the role of Lokkhonna. The film's story is about the time when people used to smuggle things in and out of India and Bangladesh. The women used to be in flesh trade. My character is also the one who helps smuggling goods and is also a flesh trade worker.'

Meghna Naidu was set for a comeback as the actress in Sitara. However, the news of the film soon fizzled out!

Meghna is quite active on social media and keeps sharing pictures with her family and friends. This one is a throwback picture of herself with her parents and her younger sister, Sona.

In April 2019, Meghna Naidu took the internet by surprise, when she announced that she had been married for two years. YES! The actress is no more single and secretly got married in 2017! Meghna took to Twitter to share the news, 'And here is the big news. For all those who knew about our wedding, Thank you for respecting our privacy... And for all those who don't know or had a doubt here is some news !!! [sic]'

Meghna and Luis had gotten married in Mumbai on December 25, 2016, after a courtship of almost six years.

Meghna and Luis met 22 years ago on a tennis court. It was Meghna's father who introduced her to the Tennis player, post which, the two even dated briefly. Though they grew apart.
