The chirpy Juhi Chawla was one of the earliest Miss India pageant holders who made a successful progression towards the silver screen and has been extremely successful in that as well. On the occassion of her birthday, lets have a look at a few unknown facts about her.

Reports state that Juhi Chawla was selected to play the role of Draupadi in TV series, ‘Mahabharat’. But when she had to choose between 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' (QSQT) and 'Mahabharat', she chose the former. The rest is history. 

Juhi Chawla had posted this photograph on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Juhi really knows to ace the social media game. On the ‘occasion’ of ‘Throwback Thursday’, she had posted this photo which had the caption, “I would love to jump back in time & spend a day on a movie set in the 90s. Remember this @iamsrk. ThursdayThrowback”.

She was the original choice to play the second lead in ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, which was eventually played by Karisma Kapoor! 

She was crowned the prestigious ‘Miss India Universe’ in the year 1984. She was also declared the ‘National Costume Winner’ at Miss Universe 1984.

Reports suggest that she had even starred in a film titled ‘Mohabbat Mohabbat’ opposite Rajiv Kapoor. The film was completed but never got released.

Juhi has always been known for her humility and humanity. When Bollywood’s most respected make-up artist passed away, Juhi posted this photograph with the caption, “Our dear Pandhari dada passed away... I feel so sad. He was very affectionate, would often share anecdotes of shootings with yesteryear's superstars & always put us at ease ! We've worked together in Chandni ,Darr.

In one of her earlier interviews, Juhi had revealed that, whenever Farah Khan used to come on the sets while everyone was rehearsing, she would she would take the mike and scream, which would terrify and scare them!

A few birthdays ago, Juhi had posted this photo with the caption, “My birthday, years ago , on the sets of Choco Cheer shooting Thank you Sanjiv Sharma ( ad.filmmaker) for sending me this...!!

Not many know that she was the original choice of 1996 blockbuster movie 'Raja Hindustani', which, eventually was done by Karisma Kapoor! 

Juhi and Raveena Tandon always shared great friendship with each other. On the occasion of the latter’s birthday Juhi posted a revelation , “A 100 trees for the girl with a big heart …. and an adventurous spirit …. Happppyyyyy Biirrtthhdaayy Raveena …!!! There are only 3 people in the world who call me Ju ….Raveena is one of them ..

On the occasion of the ageless Rekha's birthday, Juhi posted stating, "A 100 trees for the Diva …… the beautiful , mesmerizing , gorgeous, Rekhaji … wish you a fabulous birthday and year ahead …..just like you are …..Dazzling …!!" 

Juhi had captioned this photo stating, “On a lighter note, we could both compete for being the most shy people in the industry .. but you would win the competition”.

Juhi had posted this on social media. She captioned this photo as "Farah Khan , my cousin Zarika, Pooja Batra and I had gone to Bangalore for an ABCL show ….. there was this big throne as one of the props .. so we pretended Farha was being crowned Miss India and she did the classic Miss India expression ……!!! Pooja is handing Farah the trophy .."
