Born on October 24, 1986, in Brazil to a father of Lebanese descent and a mother of Italian-Portuguese descent, Bruna Abdullah was first seen in the 2007 movie Cash in the item song Reham Kare. However, she rose to fame after the Desi Boyz song Subah Hone Na De, with Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. (All photos/Bruna Abdullah's Instagram account)
Embarking on Bollywood, Bruna Abdullah began her acting career in college in Germany. She did her schooling there but never went to college as the Brazillian lady was busy doing a lot of theatre in the Portuguese language.
Bruna Abdullah always had the dreams to buy a house for her parents as she wanted to take care of them. So, when she heard that there are many modelling opportunities in Japan, Bruna decided to move there to earn some quick bucks.
But Bruna Abdullah had to come back because despite staying in Japan for three months, she couldn't make any money.
Bruna then started modelling in India. And slowly started getting work. Her first video was with Shekhar Suman in his debut album Mere Gham Ke Dayare Mein.
In 2007, Bruna Abdullah bagged an item song in Anubhav Sinha's Cash, which starred Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Shamita Shetty and Dia Mirza in the lead roles. She featured in the song Reham Kare, which became decently famous after its release.
In 2010, Bruna Abdullah featured in Dharma Productions' I Hate Luv Storys, starring Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor. She had a brief role in the film and also danced to the tunes of its title track.
In 2011, Bruna Abdullah sizzled on the dance floor with the 'Desi Boyz' aka Akshay Kumar and John Abraham in the song Subah Hone Na De. She went on to star in films such as Mastizaade, Grand Masti, Jai Ho and Billa II (Tamil film).
Although Bruna Abdullah has been missing from the big screens for a really long time, it's her sultry photoshoots that keeps her engaged with fans on social media. She is an avid Instagrammer and loves to flaunt her slender figure on the photo-sharing website.
On the personal front, Bruna Abdullah got engaged to her longtime Scottish boyfriend Allan Fraser in June 2018. Breaking the stereotypes, Bruna Abdullah decided to embrace motherhood before marriage. When they went on a babymoon with their respective families, Bruna and Allan decided to exchange rings and get married.
"Since, we are embarking on a new exciting part of our lives, we wanted to marry before the baby was born. Planning a wedding is a stressful business, too, so we thought it was sensible to get it out of the way before we were up to your necks in diapers," said Bruna.
27 weeks pregnant, Bruna Abdullah shared this picture of her on Instagram and captioned, "Our bodies are pretty amazing.. sometimes I still can't believe there is a perfect little human growing inside my womb!"
Bruna Abdullah welcomed a baby girl on August 31, 2019. Bruna and Allan named their daughter Isabelle.
Bruna shared this adorable photo with her baby and wrote alongside, "Someone once told me my heart was about to be "enlarged," and that's truly what it feels like. There is so much love and emotion that my heart must have enlarged in order to fit it all in. When your baby smiles right at you or cuddles up to you while you sway him in your arms or the warmth it stirs within you is overwhelming. Watching her or even just seeing her sleeping face after a brief absence from her is like the most special gift I could have ever asked for.
And so, while any amount of words can never do new motherhood justice, my goal is to try to stop and appreciate the wonder of it all. I have been amazed at my body's life-sustaining abilities, at how perfectly crafted my daughter is, at how quickly and vibrantly she grows and at how my faith has equipped me to keep up. What's it like to be a new mom?
It's downright amazing.."
