In January 2019, the young brigade of the Hindi film industry went to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The B-Town delegation which comprised of actors, directors among others and they discussed the participation and contribution of the youth icons towards nation-building. The delegation included Rohit Shetty, Ranbir Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Ashwiny Iyer, Sidharth Malhotra, Ekta Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and Varun Dhawan.
In December 2018, PM Narendra Modi led a crowd in congratulating newly-married couple, actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas at their wedding reception in New Delhi. PM Modi, who was escorted on stage by Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra, gifted the newlyweds a rose each and shared some moments of laughter. For the occasion, PM Modi was dressed in a white kurta-pajama with a black Nehru jacket.
In April 2019, Modi met actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol, who was fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party from the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat. Sunny Deol joined BJP on April 23, 2019.

In December 2017, PM Narendra Modi met the newly-married couple, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and his Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma, and congratulated the two. Along with the couple, Kohli's brother Vikas was also present during the meet.
Modi met Bollywood's action star Akshay Kumar in New Delhi in 2017. Two years later, actor Akshay Kumar also engaged in a 'non-political', candid conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
