Ramanand Sagar was the first to bring the image of Lord Ram to the world. In 1987, he created a TV series on Ramayana, casting Arun Govil as Lord Ram.

After the series' success, Arun Govil became widely famous, with people not only calling him Lord Ram but also venerating him as the revered character.

In 1997, the film 'Lav Kush,' based on Ramayana, was released and became a box office hit. Jeetendra played Lord Ram, and Jaya Prada played Goddess Sita.

Jr NTR, known for 'RRR,' delivered an exceptional performance as Lord Ram in his debut film 'Bala Ramayanam.' The movie won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nayanthara played the lead roles of Lord Ram and Sita in the 2011 film 'Sri Rama Rajyam.' The film received numerous state awards for its compelling narrative and outstanding performances.

Sobhan Babu starred as Lord Ram in 'Sampoorna Ramayanam,' released in 1972. The film, directed by Bapu, was a commercial hit with artistic picturization and good songs.

Ashish Kumar, a renowned Bengali actor, portrayed Lord Ram in films like 'Jai Santoshi Maa' and 'Jai Dwarakadheesh,' along with playing various mythological characters.

In 2023, Prabhas portrayed Lord Ram in Om Raut’s 'Adipurush,' with Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Ravan.

Ankur Nayyar portrayed Lord Ram in the television series 'Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan,' which aired in 2006-2009. The series, while primarily focused on the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, included the character of Lord Ram in certain sequences, and Ankur Nayyar played the role during those segments.
