A collage of Brinda Rai's pictures with daughter Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has always been very close to her mother Vrinda Rai, who celebrates her birthday today. The actress's Instagram account is flooded with Brinda Rai's pictures that are truly adorable. In this picture, the actress wishes her mother a Happy Anniversary by clicking a selfie with her and her daughter Aaradhya.

Last year on this day, the actress shared another adorbale picture on her mother's birthday. She had the company of three delicious cakes, her daughter, and her husband Abhishek Bachchan.

In another picture, the three generations posed together for an adorable click. It had the grandmother Bridna Rai, the mother Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and the granddaughter Aaradhya.

It is a known fact that the gorgeous actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been very close to her family and has been giving them uttermost importance. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's most public appearances and Instagram page are proof enough that the actress is extremely close to her mother Brinda Rai, we take a deep dive into the bond that Aish shares with all her close family members - including brother Aditya Rai, late father Krishnaraj Rai, sister-in-law Shrima Rai, father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan and others.

In picture: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had shared this priceless picture with her mom on her birthday and captioned: "I love you. You are...therefore I am...Happy Birthday, my eternally precious mommy-dodda darling."

Talking about Aish's mother Brinda Rai, while everyone knows how amazing the lady is, who always accompanies her daughter to her professional commitments abroad - be it Cannes or endorsement events. She is a supportive mother and more importantly, a loving lady. She shares a very warm relationship with Aish's in-laws and son-in-law Abhishek Bachchan.

Brinda Rai had also tried her hands on script writing back in 2003. Remember Aishwarya Rai's Dil Ka Rishta, co-starring Arjun Rampal? Well, the movie was written by Brinda Rai. Not like, Mrs Rai had a burning ambition to script a film. But after Aish's family had discussions over a lot of ideas, they asked Brinda Rai to chose one. Aish was the first person she mentioned her story idea. Upon narrating the story to Ramesh Taurani, he asked Vrinda Rai to put it in screenplay format.

Interestingly, Aishwarya Rai's brother Aditya Rai had produced Dil Ka Rishta, along with other co-producers. Aditya is a Merchant Navy engineer. He is married to Shrima Rai, Mrs India 2009.

Another interesting trivia about Brinda Rai is, in 2010, while shooting in Karjat for Vipul Shah's Action Replayy, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's mom would land on the sets with a huge pitcher of kokum juice. Though it was meant for her daughter, who featured in the film with Akshay Kumar, the star mom would distribute glasses to everyone. Says Vipul, "The only person who would be completely unaffected with the heat was Ash. That's when we all realised about her kokum juice. We all became regulars to beat the heat." Sweet gesture, isn't it?

Talking about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai, he was a marine biologist. The Rais, were earlier based in Mangaluru, moved to Mumbai soon after Aishwarya's birth. Krishnaraj Rai passed away in March 2017.

On her father's first birth anniversary, as a doting daughter, and also at the same time someone who sets an example to become a humble person through her social activities, Aishwarya continued her legacy of doing something exceptionally well for the world by celebrating November 20 in a special way. She donated free surgeries to 100 children born with cleft lips and palates through Smile Train India and announced the day as 'Day of Smiles' to celebrate a day of joy and cheer.

Since over a decade, as Smile Train's Global Goodwill Ambassador, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been supporting the international cleft charity, and through The Aishwarya Rai Foundation, her father, Late Mr. Krishnaraj Rai had supported cleft lip and palate surgeries for 100 children in 2014. Every year on November 20, Aishwarya visits a suburban hospital in Mumbai with her mother Vrinda Rai and her adorable daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan to spend time with cleft patients and encourage the children to live fuller lives and pursue their dreams. November 20 is now observed as the 'Day of Smiles'.

Aditya Rai shares a close bond with sister Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Aish keeps posting pictures on Raksha Bandhan with her brother. Aditya is quite an introvert, as told by his wife Shrima Rai in one of her Instagram posts. Aditya and Shrima's kids - Vihaan and Shivansh call Aishwarya 'Gullu Maami'.

Shrima Rai, who runs her own fashion and lifestyle blog, has 40K followers on Instagram. She is quite popular we must say! On one of her 'Ask me anything' session on social media, she said, "I don't see Ash as a superstar. She's firstly my sister-in-law. But we don't get to see Ash and Abhishek often. When she drops by, I'm usually at work. Abhishek is a fun guy to be with." When a user asked, "How did you tell your kids their aunt is so famous", she said, "That is never a topic in my house. She is Gulu Maami at home."

An adorable throwback picture of siblings - Aishwarya and Aditya Rai as little kids. The duo can be seen goofing around and striking different poses for the camera.

What can we say about her bond with her in-laws - the Bachchan family! Well, time and again Aishwarya has been vocal about the warmth she shares with her Paa - Amitabh Bachchan, Maa - Jaya Bachchan, husband Abhishek Bachchan and her 'universe' daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

They have shared screen space, a number of times. They are each other's fans as admitted by Big B and Aish in the past. And moreover, the 'Sasur-Bahu' Jodi is considered one of the most adorable and friendly duo in B-town. Need we say more?

In picture: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had shared this picture on Amitabh Bachchan's 77th birthday and captioned: Happy 77th Birthday Pa-Dadaji God Bless and Love you Always.

While a lot gets murmured about the relationship between the 'saas-bahu' Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, some calling it 'bitter', the duo has time and again proved with their actions that they are family, above all. In an old interview, Jaya Bachchan had heaped praises on Aish saying, "Sometimes I tease Aishwarya and I say Aaradhya is a very lucky girl because can you imagine having a nurse like Miss World Aishwarya!" The duo had made headlines when the Senior Bachchan shared her pink saree with Junior Bachchan. (See photo)
