Hum Saath Saath Hain! Epic family portraits of Bollywood celebs

The story of the Khans will remain incomplete without the mention of the 'Khan-daan'. In this picture, we can see Salman Khan surrounded by brothers Sohail and Arbaaz, sisters Alvira and Arpita, brothers-in-law Atul Agnihotri and Aayush Sharma, sisters-in-law Seema Khan and Malaika Arora (who has now separated from Arbaaz), nieces and nephews, and parents. Shah Rukh Khan, the epitome of self-made success, entered the entertainment arena in 1992, and soon earned the crown of "Baadshah of Bollywood". Seen here is Shah Rukh with his wife Gauri Khan and children. An interior designer by profession, Gauri married him in 1991 and the couple has three kids - Aryan Khan (born 1997), Suhana Khan (born 2000) and AbRam (2013). Don't they all look cute together?

We've all come across that one family that has an infinite number of members. Here's presenting the big family of Aamir Khan. In this picture, we can spot his ex-wife Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao with her parents, son Junaid and Azad with daughter Ira, uncle Mansoor Khan, sisters Nikhat Khan, Farhat Khan and Nuzhat Khan. To identify the rest, we need your help. How many Khans can you identify?

Salman's father Salim Khan had adopted a girl named Arpita, who was the daughter of a homeless woman who died on a Mumbai footpath. Arpita married Aayush Sharma, the son of a politician, in 2014. Together, they have a son, Ahil, born in 2016. Arpita gave birth to a daughter Ayat on December 27, 2019, the same day as Salman Khan's birthday.

From the Khans, we move on to the Bachchans. The family legacy came into the limelight through the poetry of Allahabad born Harivansh Rai Bachchan. His son, Amitabh Bachchan, debuted in Bollywood through the 1969-film Saat Hindustani. His popularity was upheld by his son Abhishek. The cute kiddo, you see at the bottom is Abhishek's daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.

In his legendary career, Amitabh has entertained the audience with films like Anand, Zanjeer, Sholay, Deewar, Don, Coolie, Agneepath, Paa, and Piku. He married actress Jaya Bhaduri. Together, they have a son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda.

Abhishek made his debut in 2000 and went on to grab three Filmfare and a National Award through his films. In 2007, he married actress Aishwarya Rai. His sister, Shweta Bachchan, is an acclaimed author and host.

The Kapoors can rightfully be called the first family of the film industry. Prithviraj Kapoor (sitting in the centre) was the first from the family to pursue a career in films. All his sons - Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor (standing) and Shashi Kapoor (sitting) made a successful career in films. Also seen in this picture is Raj Kapoor's son Randhir Kapoor (sitting in Prithviraj Kapoor's lap).

Prithviraj's youngest son Shashi Kapoor's film career spanned over 50 years. Some of his notable films are Jab Jab Phool Khile, Aa Gale Lag Jaa, Deewaar, Kabhi Kabhie, Trishul and Namak Halaal. He married English actress Jennifer Kendal and had three children - Karan Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor (in the picture) and Sanjana Kapoor.

Let's talk about Kapoor's third generation. We began with late actor Rishi Kapoor - son of Raj Kapoor and his wife Krishna Raj Kapoor. His father's directorial Bobby launched his career, and subsequent hits like Karz, Prem Rog, Chandni, Heena further cemented it. Rishi married his 15-time co-star Neetu Singh in 1980. The couple has two children - actor Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahani.

Rishi's elder brother, Randhir Kapoor, established his career in 1971, and since then, has starred in over 30 movies. He married actress Babita Shivdasani in his debut year and has two daughters - Karisma and Kareena Kapoor. This picture was taken when the entire Kapoor clan came together to celebrate his 69th birthday. Apart from his immediate family, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Reema Jain, and Armaan Jain were also present.

The latest generation of Kapoors saw actors Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor carving their space in the industry. In this picture, we can see a mixture of the Kapoor generations - Krishna Raj Kapoor, her son Rishi Kapoor and wife Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor with her husband Bharat Sahni and their daughter Samara.

Speaking of Randhir's children - elder daughter Karisma Kapoor, who was one of the most successful actresses of the 90s, married industrialist Sunjay Kapur in 2003. The couple has a daughter Samaira, born in 2005 and a son Kiaan, born in 2010. On the right side is his younger daughter Kareena Kapoor Khan with her son Taimur Ali Khan.

Kareena debuted in the year 2000 and soon became one of Bollywood's most popular and highest-paid actresses. After dating actor Shahid Kapoor, she later married Saif Ali Khan in 2012. Four years later, Kapoor gave birth to her son, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi. The kiddo has been the internet's favourite since birth.

Saif belongs to the Pataudi family and has a mixture of cricket and Bollywood in his blood. Saif is the son of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the former captain of the Indian National Cricket team, and Sharmila Tagore - a celebrated actress. Before Kareena, Saif was married to Amrita Singh, and the couple shares two children - Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Also seen in this picture is Soha Ali Khan, Saif's younger sister.

The Kapoor story doesn't just end here. We have another Kapoor in the industry (though not related to the earlier one). We are talking about Shahid Kapoor! Known as the Chocolate Boy of Bollywood, Shahid married Mira Rajput, who is 13 years younger to him. Rajput gave birth to their daughter Misha in August 2016 and son Zain in September 2018.

From the Kapoors, we take you to the next family - The Roshans. The family carved its name in the industry with Roshanlal Nagrath, a celebrated music director in the 50s and 60s. His son Rajesh Roshan (right) continued his music legacy, while elder son Rakesh Roshan ventured into acting and directing. Rakesh's son Hrithik is... well, the name is enough!

In this picture, Hrithik is seen celebrating his parents Rakesh Roshan and Pinky Roshan's 45th wedding anniversary with his sister Sunaina Roshan, his cousins and uncle Rajesh Roshan.

Another actor to climb the success ladder quickly is actor Ajay Devgn, married to Kajol. Ajay, son of veteran stunt choreographer Veeru Devgan, quickly became one of the most popular and influential actors of Hindi cinema. He married Kajol, a name that needs no introduction. The couple has two children - daughter Nysa, born in 2003, and son Yug, born in 2010.

Kajol herself comes from the influential Mukherjee-Samarth family. The family has given Bollywood gems like Joy Mukherjee, Deb Mukherjee, Shomu Mukherjee (her father) Ayan Mukerji, Rani Mukerji. Kajol's mother Tanuja herself is a celebrated actress. Tanuja's sister Nutan, is still remembered for playing unconventional roles in the 50s and 60s.
