Betty Kapadia passed away late last night at the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai at the age of 80. All pictures/Yogen Shah
According to sources close to the family, Betty Kapadia was admitted in Hinduja hospital a fortnight ago due to respiratory problems, where she breathed her last.
Karan Kapadia, Simple Kapadia's son, who is close to Dimple Kapadia and her mother, performed all rites for Betty Kapadia.
Her granddaughter, Twinkle Khanna along with husband, actor Akshay Kumar, were spotted at the hospital Saturday night.

Betty Kapadia had turned eighty, two months ago and Twinkle had shared pictures of the celebration featuring the entire family, including Akshay, Dimple, and grandson Karan Kapadia.

Akshay Kumar also greeted Sunny Deol as he arrived at the last rites ceremony for Betty Kapadia.
Dimple Kapadia's mother was married to a Gujarati entrepreneur Chunnibhai Kapadia and together had four children including the 62-year-old actor, her late sister, who was also an actor, Simple Kapadia, another sister, Reema and a brother, Munna.
Early Sunday, the family organised last rites where several celebrities including Sunny Deol and Rishi Kapoor paid their last respect to Betty Kapadia.
Rishi Kapoor was also among the very few celebrities who attended the last rites ceremony hosted on December 1.
