Not many of them know but Salman and Salim Khan share a personal connection to Bharat's storyline as its story aligns with Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan's relationship. The bond that Salman and Salim Khan share is a true representation of an ideal father-son relationship.

The 53-year-old actor still puts his father's word before all other relationships in his life, which is why director Ali Abbas Zafar feels no one else could have played the character of Bharat in the film better than Salman Khan

Expressing his decision to cast Salman, Ali Abbas Zafar shared, "I feel that there couldn't be a better choice to play Bharat than Salman because the film is about a father-son relationship and anyone who is aware of Salman and Salim uncle's bond will know how close they are to each other and how much respect is there between them".

Apart from the father-son duo, Katrina Kaif too grabbed the attention of the paparazzi through her beautiful blue-red floral short dress which she teamed up with strappy high heels.

Talking about her role in the Salman Khan starrer, Katrina will sport five different looks in Bharat as her character ages from 25 to 65 in the course of the narrative. Salman Khan too will be seen sporting six varied looks through the years of his life

Bharat traces India's post-independence history from the perspective of a common man and follows his life from the age of 18 to 70 years of age, as a journey. Also starring Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff, the period drama hits the screens on June 5, 2019.
