Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas actress Sahher Bambba hails from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. However, the 20-year-old newbie, after completing her schooling in Shimla and Kasauli (where she studied in a boarding school), decided to move to Mumbai. Born and brought up in Shimla, Sahher Bambba was the kind of kid who would perform in the living room and everybody would clap for her. She would love that attention.

Sahher Bambba's love for films started with dancing to the songs of quintessential Hindi films. "I wanted to become an actor. So, I decided that I have to go to Mumbai for my college no matter what and convinced my parents. Initially, they didn't agree and were insisting that I go to Delhi for higher education but finally, they gave in," said Sahher Bambba in an interview with IANS.

Sahher led a very protected life before she moved to Mumbai. When she came to the city of dreams, the struggle started, as confessed by her in interviews. She would live in a hostel where eight girls including her shared a room.

The youngster wanted to get into acting but was clueless about the way into showbiz. "Every day I would sit in the train from Churchgate and come to the city to give auditions for commercials etc but nothing was working out," said Sahher in an interview with IANS.

Sahher is the perfect example of aspiring actors coming from a non-film background who struggle to find their feet in the glam-world.

After auditioning for various projects including commercials, Sahher participated in Bombay Times Fresh Face and won the beauty pageant. Soon after, she got a call from the casting director of Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.

Sahher told mid-day in an interview, "I still remember when I got finalised for the role, in February 2017, and when I got a call from the casting director, my family and I were so happy because it was so good to be true. It took a lot of time to really sink in, that I am going to make my Bollywood debut soon."

At the time of the audition for Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, 400 girls were in contention for the role, opposite Karan Deol. "I got to know this later. It's a very surreal feeling. It's a very humbling feeling because I really did not expect to be selected. I am very fortunate to have got this opportunity," she said.

A debut vehicle holds prominence for every artiste revealing their skills to the world. But Sahher was well aware that the spotlight would mostly be on Karan Deol during the film's promotions, considering Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas marks Sunny Deol's son's debut. Bambba, however, considers herself fortunate enough to "be part of a film in any capacity". It's not an opportunity easily afforded to a newcomer!

Sahher Bambba is a trained Kathak dancer. We wonder if she's got the chance to show her dancing skills in the film. Well, for that, we'll have to wait till September 20, as that's when Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas hits the theatre.
