STAY IN-TERTAINED: Sobhita Dhulipala is on a content-consuming spree during quarantine

Sobhita Dhulipala is on a content-consuming spree. Apart from classic films, she has been binge-watching series that acquired acclaim last year. Here's what is keeping Sobhita entertained during the quarantine. (All pictures: mid-day archives/trailer screenshots from YouTube)

The Crown: The historical drama web television series is first on Sobhita's list. The Crown covers Queen Elizabeth II's life from her younger years to her reign in the 21st century. The series, consisting of three seasons so far, premiered in 2016.

Parasite: Parasite is also in the list of Sobhita's favourites. The Academy award-winning Korean film is a black comedy that talks of class divide and how societal discrimination makes the affluent set insensitive about the less privileged.

1917: 1917 is a 2019 British epic war film. The film tells the story of two young British soldiers during the First World War. The film stars George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman, with Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch in supporting roles.

Delhi Crime: Sobhita recommends Delhi Crime to everyone. The crime drama web series is based on the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape and the subsequent police investigation. Starring Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang, Delhi Crime premiered on Netflix in March 2019.

The Family Man: The Family Man is an action drama which tells the story of a middle-class man secretly working as an intelligence officer. The web series marked the debut of Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani in the digital world. The Made in Heaven star calls The Family Man immensely engaging.

Asur: Just like Family Man, Asur is also immensely engaging, according to Sobhita. Asur, which marks the digital debut of Arshad Warsi, is a crime thriller set in current times that revolves around serial killings. The web series premiered on March 2, 2020.

Contagion: Contagion, a decade-old film that has acquired attention today owing to its eerie resemblance to the ongoing situation, left her with an anxiety attack, but still makes for recommended watching.
