Born on January 24, 1981, Riya Sen Dev Varma is the daughter of Bharat Dev Varma, a descendant of the Royal family of Tripura, Cooch Behar and Jaipur, and former actress Moon Moon Sen, now a member of Parliament. In 2005, an MMS of Riya Sen and her then-boyfriend Ashmit Patel showing the pair in a compromising position rocked the industry. Following this incident, the couple split, although Riya denied being the girl in the clip.
