Nushrat Bharucha completed her boho avatar with pastel coloured hoops, soft curls and nude makeup. On the work front, Nushrat, who was last seen on-screen in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, says she feels blessed being a part of the quirky comedy film Dream Girl, which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana.

On being a part of Dream Girl, Nushrat Bharucha said: "I like this quirky comedy space a lot. Ayushmann is of course really good at picking this kind of films. I am really blessed being part of 'Dream Girl' because that film's script is really funny and quirky."

Talking about her forthcoming film Turram Khan, Nushrat Bharucha said: "I am working in Turram Khan with Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao. It's like a dream combination. I wanted to work with them from many years and finally, I am working with them."

Bharucha is amused. We manage to tickle her funny bone, just not enough for her to crack. "There's absolutely nothing that I can tell you about the film," she says simply, quick to add, "All I can say is that it is exhausting but worth it all."

Speculations on Nushrat Bharucha playing the titular role were put to rest when her co-star Ayushmann Khurrana took to Instagram to state that he would feature "in and as" Dream Girl. It is evident in our conversation with her that she's enjoying filming with the actor, who she wasn't acquainted with before they began to roll.

"The process of getting to know a person can also be suitable in building good chemistry. In the past, I have always known the actors I've collaborated with, be it Kartik [Aaryan] or Rajkummar [Rao]. That wasn't the case with Ayushmann. While working together, we discovered a novelty to our equation," said Nushrat Bharucha in interaction with mid-day.

Nushrat Bharucha and Kartik Aaryan share a warm bond together, and talking about the actor, Nushrat said: "We bond over shayaris and music. We often chat between our shots. While shooting for a romantic song, we were told to merely talk to each other. The makers have captured a wonderful montage of us having a regular conversation."

Juggling the shoot of Ekta Kapoor's offering with another film, Nushrat Bharucha is currently busy juggling and travelling between the cities.

Talking to mid-day about the same, Nushrat Bharucha also said: "I was drawn to the stories and greenlit them before [Rao-starrer] Stree and AndhaDhun became hits. I wanted to work with great actors; they became stars later."

When asked what is common between Rajkummar Rao and her, Nushrat added: "Raj is teaching me the local dialect. Today was the one of my first classes with him." Having made her Bollywood debut with Rao in Love Sex Aur Dhokha, Bharucha describes her reunion with her first co-star as an "exciting and enriching experience".
